DS-72A pulse counter - 2×6-digit LED display, 2× relay, 2× SSR output

Product description

The pulse counter DS-72A is a professional device designed for precise counting of pulses from mechanical switches, limit switches, inductive sensors PNP/NPN, and incremental encoders. It supports counting up and down, offers a combination of input functions, and flexible output configuration.

With two six-digit LED displays and the option to set PRESET1 and PRESET2 values, it provides a clear overview of the count value and target value. The EEPROM memory allows settings to be retained even after power failure.

Main functions

  • 2× six-digit LED display for current value and PRESET setting

  • 2× output relays (SPDT)

  • 2× SSR output (NPN, max 30 V / 100 mA)

  • Counting up/down

  • Password protection

  • Adjustable input frequency: 20, 50, 2500, 7500 Hz

  • Calibration constant: from 0.00001 to 9.99999

  • Selectable decimal point: 0 / 0.0 / 0.00 / 0.000

  • Possible function combinations: addition, subtraction, pause, input negation, edge combination

  • Adjustable "OFFSET" values

  • Preset 1 with absolute/relative value option

  • Remembers output relay state and value after power failure

Technical parameters

  • Dimensions / cutout: 72 × 72 × 94 mm / 67 × 67 mm

  • LED display: 2× 6-digit 7-segment

  • Indicator LEDs: 5× (OUT1, OUT2, Finger1, Finger2, Batch)

  • Inputs: 2× (5-30 V, max 7500 Hz)

  • Input types: mechanical switch, inductive sensor PNP/NPN, encoder NPN/PNP/totem pole

  • Reset input: PNP, min. 10 ms, 5-30 V

  • Relay outputs: 2× SPDT 250 VAC, 2 A (resistive load)

  • SSR outputs: 2× NPN, max 30 V / 100 mA

  • Sensor power supply: 12 VDC, max 50 mA

  • Device power supply: 100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz

  • Power consumption: < 8 VA

  • Operating temperature: -20 °C ... +55 °C

  • Altitude: < 2000 m

Usage:

  • Counting pulses from mechanical and electrical equipment

  • Production and machine monitoring

  • Encoder and mechanical process control

  • Industrial applications requiring precise measurement and relay/SSR outputs

Installation and safety

  • Panel/enclosure mounting

  • Use shielded and twisted signal cables, ground the shield

  • Keep cables away from electrical noise, disconnectors, and inductive loads

  • Protect equipment from moisture, vibrations, dirt, and extreme temperatures

  • Use a F250 mA/250 VAC fuse at the power input

  • Follow safety regulations and use appropriate cables
