Detailed description - ERV-08M time relay (0.1 s - 100 h), Un: 12-230 V AC/DC

The ERV-08M time relay is a universal delay relay designed to control delayed activation after power supply voltage is applied. It offers a wide time range from 0.1 seconds to 100 hours, universal power supply 12-230 V AC/DC, simple control, and DIN rail mounting.

Suitable for automation applications, controlling fans, motors, lighting, contactors, and other devices requiring delayed activation.

Control and functions

LED indication

• ON (red) - relay is powered

• OUT (green, steady on) - output relay is energized (contact 2-3 connected)

• OUT (green, blinking) - countdown to switching is in progress

Time setting

The time relay allows you to create an accurate delay with two potentiometers:

1. Potentiometer "t" (0.1 to 10)
   - precise adjustment in % of the total range
   - 0.1 = 1 %, 10 = 100 %.

2. Potentiometer "TS" - range selection:

   • A = 10 s

   • B = 100 s

   • C = 10 min

   • D = 100 min

   • E = 10 h

   • F = 100 h

Time change activates on the next power connection.

Switching function

1) ON Delay - delayed activation (terminals 2-3, NO)

• When power is connected, the set time countdown begins

• After the elapsed time, the output relay (RLY) is activated - contact 2-3 (NO → COM) closes

2) Off delay via NC contact (terminals 2-1)

• Contact 2-1 (NC) is active even without power

• When power is connected, the countdown begins

• After the elapsed time, the contacts 1-2 open

Usage

The ERV-08M time relay is used for applications requiring a delayed load activation after an event occurs:

• The fan turns on only after the light is switched on (toilet, bathroom)

• Lighting in the garage or hallway after door opening

• Gradual motor start-up

• Delayed switching of contactors

• Sequential switching of multiple circuits

• delayed device activation

The timing starts when the relay is connected to power.
