The RGT-12E reactive power controller by TENSE is a fully automatic and highly accurate controller designed for optimal control of compensation stages in power systems. With digital measurement, intelligent algorithms, and a graphical LCD display, it ensures a stable power factor, effective reactive power control, and protection of compensation equipment.

Automatic detection of compensation stages

The controller configures itself after power-up:

• automatically detects the size of connected capacitor stages

• manual parameter input is also possible

• the system continuously monitors the status of each stage

Intelligent switching control

The controller switches stages on and off so that:

• a stable power factor is achieved with the fewest switchings

• individual stages are evenly loaded

• priority is given to capacitors with the lowest remaining charge

• the status of each stage is simultaneously checked (faults, power changes, removal and reactivation)

TCR support (thyristor-controlled reactor)

The controller enables compensation control with thyristor-switched reactors, ideal for:

• industrial applications

• dynamic compensation

• systems with frequent load changes
